Amy Watson, M.D. - Founder & Pediatrician

After growing up in Norwood, MA, Dr. Watson traded in the busy neighborhoods around Boston for quiet, nature-filled New Hampshire in 2020 with her husband, Justin. She is a self-proclaimed lover of all things children and animals, and anyone who knows her will recognize just how true that proclamation is.

Dr. Watson has committed her life to practicing medicine, but when she is not taking care of patients or responding to questions, she enjoys visiting farm animals, hiking, spending time outdoors with friends and family (especially the children), and exploring new places. When there is more time to relax, Dr. Watson also enjoys a good jigsaw puzzle, knitting, reading fantasy novels, thrillers, and quirky medical non-fiction.

Dr. Watson started Breakthrough Pediatrics because she wanted to be able to give each patient the time and attention that they deserve, which allows her to create stronger, lasting relationships with patients and their families. She knew that Direct Primary Care was the only way that this would be possible, and that it will make her patients happier and healthier than ever. It just so happens to make her happier and healthier, too!

Justin Chase - Business Operations

As a New Hampshire native, Justin was happy that it didn’t take much effort to persuade Dr. Watson to leave Massachusetts behind. After moving to Phoenix, Arizona in 2016, Justin moved back to NH only 16 months later, realizing that the statement “there’s no place like home” was more than just a fairy-tale saying. New Hampshire has something unique, an interesting conglomeration of people, places, and things that you just can’t find anywhere else, and it’s something that Justin missed dearly.

With his recent background in education, mathematics, and data analytics, Justin is responsible for the business side of Breakthrough Pediatrics. He also draws on his previous experience in retail and various trades to craft an ideal patient experience. You’ll find him answering phones, scheduling, and taking as much off of Dr. Watson’s plate as possible so she can continue focusing all of her energy on caring for her patients.

When he has free time, Justin thoroughly enjoys spending time at the lake with friends and family, wakeboarding & tubing, hiking with Amy, reading fantasy novels and business non-fiction, philosophy, and learning to do new things. He also enjoys travelling and looks forward to making his way back to Europe when travel restrictions ease.
